TimeVault™ captures and surfaces every significant event, change, and system action across your AVD environment in a single chronological view. From VM deployments and scale events to script runs, maintenance and image changes, everything is recorded and searchable. TimeVault also snapshots your estate every hour and keeps a daily baseline, so you can compare any two points in time and see exactly what changed.
Key capabilities
- Chronological event log covering VM deployments, scale events, script runs, maintenance, images, users and errors
- Filter by event category, resource name, region and time range (1 hour to 30 days)
- Hourly snapshots and a daily baseline of host pools, session hosts, scaling plans, pool configuration, RBAC assignments and cost
- Compare any two snapshots side by side and export the differences
- Capture a snapshot on demand, or set any snapshot as your baseline
- Export snapshots and timeline data as CSV, JSON, Excel or PDF for governance and incident reporting
How TimeVault™ works
- TimeVault records events as they happen and takes a snapshot every hour
- A daily baseline is kept at midnight UTC; other snapshots are kept for 90 days
- Open TimeVault and pick the Timeline, Snapshots or Compare tab
- Compare two snapshots to see what changed, then export the difference
- To bring back configuration itself, use Backup & Restore: TimeVault is history, not rollback
Available on: Atlas AVD plan and above
TimeVault™ is included in every Atlas AVD subscription.
