Session Timeouts let you set the idle and disconnect timeout policy for your AVD session hosts from one place. Set a global default, let every host pool inherit it or override it per pool, and Atlas applies the policy to running session hosts as well as new ones, so abandoned sessions are disconnected and logged off on a consistent schedule instead of drifting host by host.
Key capabilities
- Idle and disconnect timeouts set once as a global default and inherited by every host pool
- Per-pool override when one pool needs a different policy, with an Inherited or Override badge on each setting
- Idle sessions are disconnected, and disconnected sessions logged off, after the minutes you set
- A change at any level is pushed to the pool's existing session hosts and applied to new hosts at provisioning
- Frees session-host capacity held by sessions users forgot to sign out of
- 0 means no limit; leave a timeout blank to keep the Azure default
Available on: Atlas AVD plan and above
